2022 Annual Youth Fishing Rodeo - Bogue Chitto Refuge

We are so excited to bring back the Annual Youth Fishing Rodeo to Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge in person! The Fishing Rodeo is Saturday June 11 at the Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge (Jim Schmidt Boardwalk and Trailhead). All children  4-12 years of age are welcome to register for prizes. Prizes are given for children's age categories, for categories of fish, as well as overall biggest fish.

Click on the Register button to start your registration today. Registration Fee is $20.00 per child which supports the Friends of Louisiana Wildlife Refuges Inc.,. Each registered angler will receive fishing pole, tackle, bait (worms), a tee-shirt and lunch for the whole family. Each angler will need a separate registration form completed. Extra Tee Shirts can be purchased for $10. Click on the Extra Tee Shirt Ticket to purchase extra tee shirts.  All tee shirt orders must be in by May 20th.  Phone reservations are not taken. Registration is first come first served. Registrations received after May 20 will not be guaranteed a tee shirt.

Sunscreen, insect repellent, and lawn chairs recommended.
