About the event

The Friends of Louisiana Wildlife Refuges, Inc in partnership with Southeast Louisiana Wildlife Refuges, Lacombe LA will be planting trees in celebration of Earth Day and Arbor Day! We will meet at the Southeast Louisiana Wildlife Refuges, 61389 Hwy 434, Lacombe, LA at 09:00a.m. and plant trees until all the trees are planted. We will be planting native tree species including oaks, longleaf pines, red mulberry, sycamores and other natives on the grounds and trails of the historic Bayou Lacombe Center.  

What to Bring: Bring your shovel, and gloves if you like, we will have shovels and gloves available. We will provide light snacks and water. Bug spray, sunscreen, closed toed shoes and outdoor wear is recommended.
