About the event

Our Service Saturdays are a great way to earn service hours and meet other refuge volunteers. For this Service Saturday we will meet at Bayou Sauvage Urban National Wildlife Refuge! 

The meeting location will be at the Refuge gate near 14399 Intrepid St, New Orleans (30.063193, -89.923270), LA 70129. We will be working along the Refuge Boundary on Explorers Avenue. 

The service work will include general litter removal and clearing vegetation along  the boundary of Bayou Sauvage Urban Refuge on Explorers Avenue. We provide all tools, and supplies needed for the projects. Light snacks and water provided. 

**Appropriate clothing is strongly recommended (closed-toed shoes, jeans or similar long pants and long-sleeved shirt). The event will be held rain or shine so bring rain gear if needed.**
