This volunteer event is for all ages and skill levels! We will be travelling to Cat Island National Wildlife Refuge to conduct a tree planting to restore an area that was damaged by last April’s tornados. A perfect way to get outdoors, meet new people, and make a difference! All equipment is provided, and new volunteers are always welcome. A refuge van with limited space will transport volunteers to the refuge – sign-up today!
Â
Volunteers will be provided with all tools. Please wear closed-toe shoes and outdoor clothing. Beverages and light snacks will be provided. Volunteers under 18 yrs. of age will require a parent-signed volunteer form before work begins. If under age 16, volunteers must be accompanied by an adult. If interested, please RSVP to lwrfriends@gmail.com or email Ranger Becky at rebecca_larkins@fws.gov  Â
