Youth Fishing Rodeo
Did you ever think you could win a fishing event without paying an entry fee or measuring a fish? Here's your chance! The Southeast Louisiana National Wildlife Refuges Complex and the Friends of Louisiana Wildlife Refuges, Inc. are hosting a FREE Virtual Youth Fishing Rodeo June 12-13, 2021.

About the event
1. Youth who are 15 years old or younger fish the location of their choice in Louisiana waters starting June 12, at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 8 p.m. on June 13. During Louisiana FREE Fishing Weekend a fishing license is not required.
2. Take a photo of youth holding their catch and post to our Facebook page @Southeast Louisiana, OR send via Facebook Messenger, OR send us an email with the photo to virtualfishingrodeo@gmail.com
3. Download the participant flyer here OR you can create your own sign with #GetYourFishOn (can use other hashtags such as #GeauxFish or #YouthFishingRodeo2021 or other creative design). Please display the sign in the photo with youth and their catch. No printer? No time to make a sign? Use your smartphone and download the flyer to your phone and hold phone in the youth photo, OR you can hold up a recent newspaper.
4. Photos of youth and their catch should be submitted by 4 p.m. Monday June 14. Prize winners will be selected by a random drawing and announced on our Facebook page during a live program on Wednesday, June 16 at 3 p.m.
